My Story

I grew up in North Devon and was inspired to become an osteopath from a young age after work experience in the local area. I remember liking the one-to-one nature of the consultation and how osteopaths spent the time understanding their patients. I was inspired to learn more about anatomy, physiology and how I could develop skills to help others. I moved to Oxford to study at Osteopathy at the age of 19. I Graduated in 2011 and worked for ten years in a successful practice in Bristol. While I was gaining experience, I listened to many women’s histories of all ages and different life stages. I realised that I wanted to learn more about women’s health, in order to get to the root of the problem for my female patients. I recognised the support women and girls needed and I felt a natural affinity to step into this role within the clinic setting.

While in Bristol I worked closely with a dance school and gained invaluable experience treating teenage girls. I feel very fortunate to have learned from many experts within the field during my post graduate training in women’s health. The pandemic encouraged me to move back to North Devon, to be closer to my family and enjoy the outdoor life style. I feel privileged and enthused to be offering my services to women across Devon.
