Work with me

I begin by taking a case history where I ask questions and gain understanding of your problem. I work under the principle that there may be a number of contributing factors to your symptoms and will therefore assess medical history, past trauma, other life events and the current situation you are in.

Following this I will provide a thorough physical assessment of the problematic area and other associated areas in the body. Looking at other associated areas allows me to see the body as a whole and consider other contributing factors to the pain.

I will take the time bring all of this information together and explain it to you. I have been trained to identify when further tests are required and referral onto your GP or another health professional is needed.

I can then provide specific manual therapy techniques to help address the problem. Treatment techniques can include physical manipulation of the joints, muscle and soft tissue release and gentle cranial techniques. Specific rehabilitative exercises can be provided where required.

Treatment is aimed to reduce pain, restore movement and strength, to stimulate the body’s natural healing mechanisms to regain health in the tissues.
